1. Who controls your data

Operator: Kaymn — platform Kaymn at https://kaymn.com.

Privacy contact: support@kaymn.com

2. Data we collect

2.1 You provide

  • Account data: display name, username, email, hashed password, avatar, bio, gender if provided, location.
  • Content: posts, replies, reactions, tribe membership, reports.
  • Support: messages via Help or email.

2.2 Generated automatically

  • Interaction logs: feed views, post opens, tribe joins — to build your experience.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser, device, language, timestamps.
  • Security logs: login attempts, two-factor verification, admin activity.

2.3 From third parties with your consent

  • Sign-in via Google and similar: we receive name, email, and avatar per provider settings.

3. Purposes of processing

  • Operating accounts, authentication, and sessions.
  • Showing feed, search, and notifications.
  • Managing tribe membership and impact.
  • Security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
  • Improving the Platform (aggregated statistics without selling your identity).
  • Responding to your reports and requests. A report includes your account identity and the reason you gave. Hiding a post is local to your account and is not a report.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties for their own marketing.

4. Personalized feed and tribes

We analyze your interactions (reactions, replies, opens, tribe joins…) to rank “For you” and “My tribes”. You can:

  • Manage tribes from My tribes.
  • Leave a tribe at any time.
  • Hide posts you do not want to see.
  • Disable marketing notifications in Settings.

5. Anonymous posting

When you post anonymously, we hide your identity from other members and visitors. Internally we may still link the content to your account — for moderation, a serious report, a legal request, or safety review. That is the point of the feature: a quieter room, not an untraceable one.

We cannot guarantee that nobody will infer who you are from the words themselves. Be careful with details that could identify you or someone else. Anonymous posting is available only in tribes that turn it on. See also the Community Guidelines.

6. Private messages

  • Messages between members are stored for delivery and may be reviewed when reported or legally required.

7. Cookies and local storage

  • Essential: login session, CSRF, core preferences — the Platform cannot work without them.
  • Functional: feed tab, UI preferences.
  • Push notifications: optional browser subscription.

You can delete cookies in your browser; you may need to log in again.

8. Sharing data

We share the minimum necessary with:

  • Hosting and infrastructure providers.
  • Email and notification providers.
  • Aggregated analytics when enabled.
  • Authorities when legally required with valid process.

We use appropriate protection agreements with processors where possible.

9. Retention

  • Active accounts: for as long as you use the Platform.
  • After deletion: we delete or anonymize data within 30 days, retaining security logs as law requires.
  • Raw interaction logs: periodically reduced or aggregated to improve the feed.

10. Security

We use HTTPS, password hashing, session controls, and suspicious activity monitoring. No system is 100% secure — use a strong password and enable two-factor when available.

11. Your rights

Depending on your country’s laws you may have the right to:

  • Access and correct data from Settings or by email.
  • Request deletion of your account and related data.
  • Object to marketing processing or withdraw consent where we relied on it.
  • Export a copy of your data on reasonable request.

We respond within a reasonable time (usually 30 days) after verifying your identity.

12. Minors

The Platform is intended for users aged 18 and older. If we learn we collected data from a minor without guardian consent, we delete it.

13. Policy changes

We update this policy when features or laws change. The date at the top of the page reflects the current version. Material changes are announced on the Platform or by email.
