1. Definitions
- “Platform” or “Kaymn”: The website, apps, and related services at https://kaymn.com.
- “We” or “Operator”: Kaymn as operator of the Platform.
- “You” or “User”: Anyone who visits, registers, or uses the Platform.
- “Content”: Posts, replies, media, messages, files, and other materials users publish.
- “Tribe”: A small community on the Platform around a lived experience or topic, with its own rules and membership. Tribes may be added or closed over time.
- “Mentor” or “moderator”: A member with limited privileges in a tribe. The role is not a professional license and is not the Operator speaking.
- “Verified member”: A user with a verification badge after platform review — indicates account credibility, not a professional license.
2. Acceptance and eligibility
By using Kaymn — including browsing without an account — you acknowledge our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines and agree to these Terms.
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- You represent that your information is accurate and that you have legal capacity to contract in your country of residence.
- You may not use the Platform if your account was previously banned or if law prohibits it.
3. Account and security
- You are responsible for keeping login credentials confidential and for all activity on your account.
- Impersonation, multiple accounts to evade rules, or manipulating ranking and reactions is prohibited.
- We may enable two-factor authentication or other security measures; your cooperation is required for continued access.
- Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access via the Help page.
4. Platform services (overview)
Kaymn is a community for lived human experience, including — without limitation:
- Joining small tribes around specific experiences and posting within them.
- A personalized feed that prioritizes your tribes and interactions.
- Community reactions: Thanks, Helpful, Lived it — and building impact for helpful contributors.
- Private messages between members under our privacy policies.
- In-app or web push notifications according to your preferences.
- AI-assisted title suggestions when posting — helpful tools, not guaranteed accuracy.
We may add or discontinue features with reasonable notice on the Platform or by email.
5. Content you publish
5.1 Your ownership
You retain rights in original content you publish. By posting, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, sublicensable license to host, display, and distribute it on Kaymn for as long as it is published or as law requires.
5.2 Your responsibility
- You alone are responsible for what you publish and its legal and ethical consequences.
- You represent that you have rights to text and images you upload.
- Content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, or exploits minors is prohibited.
6. Anonymous posting
Anonymity protects your identity from the public; it does not exempt you from law or from internal review for serious reports.
- We may see author identity internally for safety and moderation.
- Anonymous posting is allowed only in tribes that enable it in their rules.
- Using anonymity to harass or defame leads to immediate suspension.
7. Tribes and membership
- Joining a tribe is voluntary; you may leave unless restricted for violations.
- Each tribe has published rules; posting there is subject to those rules and to the Community Guidelines. Where a tribe’s rules are stricter, follow the stricter rule in that room.
- Mentor or moderator roles grant limited privileges. They do not replace your responsibility for what you post, and they are not a licensed professional relationship with you.
- Tribe content is personal experience — not binding medical, legal, or financial advice.
- The set of tribes on the Platform is not fixed. We may open, rename, merge, or close tribes.
8. Community guidelines
Our Community Guidelines explain how we expect people to behave in tribes, including anonymous posting, reporting, and what we will not host. They supplement these Terms. We may update them; continued use after an update means you accept the new version. Violations may result in hidden or removed content, limits on anonymous posting, removal from a tribe, account suspension, or termination.
Kaymn is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. You may also report the post so we can review it.
9. Recommendations and AI
- Your “For you” feed depends on your tribes and interactions — manage membership from My tribes.
- Title suggestions when posting may be inaccurate; review before publishing.
- Do not rely on the Platform as your sole source for medical or legal decisions.
10. Kaymn intellectual property
Brand, logo, design, and software are owned by or licensed to the Operator. Copying or commercial use without written permission is prohibited.
11. Moderation and enforcement
- We may remove content or restrict accounts without prior notice for violations of these Terms or the Community Guidelines.
- Hide removes a post from your own feed. Report sends it to us for review. Repeated reports filed in bad faith may be penalized.
- We retain technical logs for security as described in our Privacy Policy.
- We do not promise a response in time to stop an emergency. We are not a crisis line.
12. Third-party services and links
The Platform may link to external sites. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
13. Disclaimer and liability limits
The Platform is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages from relying on user content. Any direct liability — if applicable — is limited to amounts you paid us for the disputed service in the prior six months.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify the Operator against claims arising from your content or your violation of these Terms.
15. Termination
- You may delete your account from Settings.
- We may suspend or terminate your account for serious or repeated violations.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update this document. Material changes will be communicated on the Platform or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
17. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Kuwait.
We first seek amicable resolution via support@kaymn.com.
